- Certified Centers and Departments in Hand and Upper Limb Surgery, recognized by the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH).
- Accredited Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratories and Services, certified by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) in areas including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography.
- Recognition in the fields of Preventive Cardiology and Sports Cardiology through accreditation by the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC).
- Certifications in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery by the European Accreditation Council for Bariatric Surgery, both at Center and specialized surgeon level.
- International recognitions by the U.S.-based Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) in fields such as Hernia Surgery, Surgeon of Excellence and Master Surgeon distinctions, as well as Colorectal Surgery.
- Surgical Spine Centre of Excellence (SSCoE) certification in the field of Spine Surgery.
At the same time, the Group actively participates in major international scientific networks and educational initiatives. Athens Medical Center has been recognized as a Continuing Education and Postgraduate Training Center by the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO), while the Breast Clinic of Athens Medical Center is a full member of the international Breast Centers Network.
The Radiology Department of the Pediatric Center of Athens has been recognized as a Center of Assessment of Medical Technology, while Athens Medical Center participates as the first and only founding member in Greece in the international PERT Consortium network.
Particular importance is also attributed to the participation of Athens Medical Center in the global EDOS — Early Phase Oncology Specialized Site Network of PPD, for the implementation of early-phase oncology clinical trials. This participation enhances access to innovative research protocols and highlights the Group’s growing research maturity.
At European Interbalkan Medical Center, significant international educational and scientific activity is also developed. The hospital serves as an official MRCOG Examination and Training Center of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), while it has also been recognized as a reference center in Southeastern Europe for physician training in transforaminal endoscopic discectomy, according to joimax GmbH.
In addition, the European Interbalkan Medical Center hosts ESPSO — the European School of Peritoneal Surface Oncology — one of the international reference centers for the training of young surgeons and nursing staff in cytoreductive surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC).
