Dr. Theodosios Bisdas is a Vascular Surgeon and one of the first endovascular specialists in Greece certified by the German Society of Vascular Surgery.

He is the Director of the Vascular Surgery Clinic at the Athens Medical Center.

He is a graduate of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Immediately after his studies, he served as a resident at the University Clinic of Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery & Vascular Surgery at the Hannover Medical School, where he was awarded his Doctorate (2010), on the safety of vascular transplantation in patients with aortic graft infections. This was followed by a year of research at the Crossbit Research Center of the Hannover Medical School and at the Vascular Surgery Clinic of the Mount Sinai Medical School (New York).

In 2012, he continued his special training in Endovascular Surgery at the University of Münster (Westphalian Wilhelms University) and as a curator he took over the part of endovascular surgery at the internationally renowned St. Franziskus Hospital, in the same city. In 2014, he received his leadership title at the University Clinic of Münster and was appointed Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery. Due to the high volume of surgical procedures in the 3 hybrid operating rooms of the clinic, he has a vast experience (> 2000 endovascular procedures) in Endovascular Surgery.

As an active member of the Academic Community of the University of Muenster, he continues to teach Vascular Surgery students and supervises 12 doctoral theses. He is responsible for many educational and postgraduate seminars and his written work includes over 100 scientific publications in major international medical journals with a special citation index (h-index) of 23. He is a member of the scientific committee of 11 international conferences, a reviewer of many prestigious scientific journals and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Endovascular Therapy, Gefässchirurgie and Innovative Surgical Science.
