Athens Medical Center: Scientific Conference on Lung Cancer open to the public
The Athens Medical Center, under the auspices of the Municipality of Kifissia, is organizing on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., a Pulmonology – Thoracic Surgery Conference on the topic: “Lung Cancer: Early Diagnosis, Personalized Investigation and Treatment.”
The conference, which aims to inform and raise public awareness about the disease, is open and free to the public and will be held at the Athens Medical Group Amphitheater, in Kefalari (1 Filadelpheos & Kefalariou).
The Scientific Directors of the conference are Professor Panagiotis Behrakis, Pulmonologist-Intensivist, Academic Associate of the Athens Medical Center, and Mr. Tzamrail Dahabre, Director of the Thoracic Surgery Clinic of the Athens Medical Center. During the event, distinguished scientists will present to the public the most recent scientific developments, modern guidelines and the methodology proposed internationally for the prevention and early diagnosis of lung cancer, a disease that is no longer considered “incurable”. In particular, the conference will focus on the importance of early diagnosis, as well as innovative therapeutic approaches, areas in which the Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery Clinics of the Athens Medical Center play a leading role.
The event will conclude with an open discussion, where participants will be able to ask questions to the speakers.
