Closed Atraumatic Rhinoplasty Without Scars!
Nowadays, more and more people want to correct the external appearance and function of their nose. Of course, until now, the prevailing opinion was that this is an extremely difficult operation with quite a lot of postoperative discomfort. Now, all of this is a thing of the past!
With the new method of closed rhinoplasty, problems are corrected permanently, quickly, effectively and most importantly… painlessly!
How is functional rhinoplasty performed? Will I have scars after the surgery?
The closed rhinoplasty technique is used in the operation of functional rhinoplasty, in which the incisions are made exclusively on the inside of the nose so that they are not at all visible externally and the patient does not look like he has had surgery.
From what age can someone have rhinoplasty or septum surgery?
The ideal age is considered to be when the candidate has reached the age of 18 so that their development has been completed. There is no upper age limit. Very often, people aged 60 and over mainly wish to correct nasal breathing problems and combine them with aesthetic improvement. Of course, let’s not forget that our nose “grows” over time. On the one hand, it is good to correct it in a timely manner so that the nose acquires a perfect shape and function, but on the other hand, it is never too late for rhinoplasty and perfect breathing!
Can I choose the nose I want to obtain through a photo of a celebrity or a computer program?
Each face is unique, with specific proportions and characteristics. The nose that suits each of us is unique. Therefore, a nose that we like, e.g. of a famous actress, it is not at all certain that it will suit our face! Also, in no case can the computer give us a valid result as it cannot calculate the details that play a role during the operation. The facial plastic surgeon is the one who will indicate to us, after listening to our wishes, what should and can be done, in order to have an aesthetically wonderful and functional nose.
Does septum surgery or rhinoplasty hurt?
It is a fact that in the past, those who had septum surgery or rhinoplasty described it as an unpleasant and painful experience. This has completely changed in modern rhinoplasty! Now both the septum and the rhinoplasty are completely painless! It is impressive that everyone now says after the surgery that the operation turned out to be much easier than they had imagined and that they did not feel any pain at all! I have been particularly impressed, having operated on thousands of noses in Germany and Greece, that many patients do not even take a single paracetamol after the surgery.
How long does the surgery take?
Depending on the degree of difficulty and the experience of the surgeon, the septum takes approximately thirty minutes and the rhinoplasty takes 2 to 3 hours.
What type of anesthesia is used?
The surgery is performed under general anesthesia so that there is no discomfort for the patient. Especially in the case of the septum, the anesthesia is very mild as this particular operation lasts a maximum of 30 minutes.
I’m afraid of anesthesia. Should I?
Many patients report that they are afraid of anesthesia. And yet, the surgery is extremely safe. Consider that the probability of a serious problem with anesthesia for a healthy person is ten thousand times smaller than the probability of a car accident traveling from Kalamata to Athens! Should we stop traveling?
How long should I stay in the clinic?
You can leave a few hours after the surgery or at the latest (if you want to rest) the next morning. If your insurance covers you, an overnight stay is necessary. In short, patients stay from a few hours to a maximum of 24 hours.
How long does the recovery-recovery last? When will I be able to leave the house?
Recovery after surgery is relatively quick. On the first day, it is best to rest at home. From the day after, we can move around, drive, and for those who do not do manual labor, returning to work is allowed from the third or fourth postoperative day at the latest. However, for those whose profession requires intense physical activity, they should rest for at least ten days. Will I have gauze inside my nose?
NO! NO! And once again NO! Many people who have previously undergone rhinoplasty or septum surgery describe with horror the postoperative stuffing of their nose with huge gauze. That is a thing of the past! When completing the septum, we do not feel the slightest discomfort and we do not have the slightest swelling. The doctor does not stuff the nose but on the contrary, the patient can breathe through the nose immediately after the surgery. No gauze and no stuffing goes inside the nose! In rhinoplasty, a small splint is placed on the outside of the nose to protect and limit swelling.
When will the final result be visible?
A large percentage of the result is visible 7-10 days after the operation, that is, as soon as the splint is removed. Initially, the nose is a little swollen, but gradually becomes more elegant as the swelling subsides. Our goal is a nose that will breathe freely while also attracting attention as it will be in harmony with the facial features.
How much does a rhinoplasty cost?
Today, this particular operation is aimed at all social classes as the cost is very affordable. While always maintaining the quality of our services, we enable many people to feel the joy of a successful rhinoplasty. The final cost, of course, is determined after consultation with the doctor.
Is it possible for my private insurance to cover an amount or even the entire cost of my rhinoplasty?
In most cases, insurance companies only cover the nasal septum surgery. Of course, when there is interest in rhinoplasty surgery as well, the client is responsible for the small difference in the amount that may exist. In any case, the doctor before the surgery draws up an opinion in which detailed details of the surgery are described. Then, the insurance company will give its approval and the process will proceed with clear information, now for the client.
In conclusion, the doctor’s specialization in the subject of functional rhinoplasty and the experience he has, will lead you in a sure and safe way to the ideal result for you!
