3rd Athens Medical Group Cardiovascular Imaging Congress
The 3rd two-day hybrid conference, Athens Medical Group Cardiovascular Imaging Congress – Advances in Cardiovascular Imaging of the Athens Medical Group, which was held hybridly at theAthens Marriott Hotel, was completed with great success.
Chairs of the conference: Dr. Stefanos Karagiannis, Cardiologist, Director of the Echocardiology Laboratory, Athens Heart Center, Athens Medical Center, Dr. Konstantinos Papadopoulos, Cardiologist, Echocardiology Laboratory, Inter-Balkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki as well as Luigi Badano, Professor of Cardiology, University of Milan and Mani Vannan, Director of Structural and Valvular Center of Excellence, Marcus, Heart Valve Center, Piedmont Heart Institute, Atlanta, GA, USA.
The conference was held under the auspices of EACVI (European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging of the European Society of Cardiology) and 32 additional scientific societies worldwide.
The conference presented all the latest developments in the field of cardiovascular imaging, mainly with regard to heart failure. All imaging techniques (cardiac ultrasound, CT and magnetic resonance imaging) were included in the scientific program and their applications were developed by experts in this field.
During these two days of the conference, cardiologists from both Greece and abroad shared their knowledge and experience. In the central hall of the conference, the new guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology were analyzed. Additionally, in the context of the highly educational nature of the conference, practical ultrasound, magnetic heart and artificial intelligence seminars (workshops) were organized in three separate rooms.
The conference was crowned for another year with great success with over 800 registered participants from more than 70 countries and 21,000 online views. Most participants attended in person.
The Athens Medical Group, on the one hand through the European certification of excellence for cardiac ultrasound laboratories (European Laboratory Accreditation) that it received with Stefanos Karagiannis for the Athens Medical Center and Konstantinos Papadopoulos for the Thessaloniki Inter-Balkan Medical Center, and on the other hand through the support of such a wide range of scientific activities, demonstrates the high level of health services it maintains for its patients.
