A healthy diet is characterized by a variety of nutritional choices so that the human body collects a multitude of ingredients daily that are required for its proper functioning.

However, it is not enough to choose only the right food but also the right dosage.

The appropriate amount of each food is useful both for the intake of sufficient nutrients and for calorie control.

The calories that concern us so much whether we want to maintain a good health balance or we want to increase or decrease our weight.

Therefore, there are foods that could give us benefits in larger quantities, without necessarily thinking about limited dosages.

Four typical examples follow below:

  1. Green leafy vegetables, due to their low calorie profile and high fiber content, vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage, spinach, arugula, beetroot, spinach, etc. can fill us up, giving us a feeling of fullness and at the same time chewing for longer.
  2. Berries, blueberries, raspberries, raisins, chia, goji berries are fruits with a high content of antioxidants and generally vitamins, minerals and trace elements. 3. Oats, a food with low calories and high protein and fiber content. It provides rapid satiety to any other food added. Whether consumed with dairy products or with nut drinks or with fruit juice or included in salads, whole grains breakfast cereals or in preparations such as burgers.
  4. Fish, a rich source of protein, amino acids and good fats. There are fish that have a very low calorie profile and, due to their short life cycle, low exposure to unwanted heavy metals. According to research, fish reduce appetite as they provide satiety and reduce levels of ghrelin, a hormone that regulates appetite.
  5. Bonusfood: Homemade Pop Corn, a low-calorie snack that, due to its composition, can serve as a countermeasure to evening cravings.
