5th Conference “Lung Cancer – From Diagnosis to Treatment”
Thessaloniki 25.09.2018 – The 5th Panhellenic Conference “Lung Cancer: From Diagnosis To Treatment” will be held on September 28-29 and 30 in Thessaloniki (Hotel “Macedonia Palace”) with the international participation of distinguished speakers with extensive clinical and research experience.
The conference is organized by the “Hellenic Oncology Institute for Patient Support” and is under the auspices of the Inter-Balkan Medical Society of Thessaloniki, the Department of the School of Health Sciences, the Medical Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Balkan Oncologists Network (BINO). Its goal is to continuously inform doctors about the latest data regarding the treatment of lung cancer and mainly new drugs. It is addressed to health scientists but is also open to all those interested in the new data.
As underlined by the president of the conference, Oncologist Pathologist and collaborator of the Inter-Balkan Medical Society, Dr. Sofia Baca, “the conference proceedings are honored as speakers by distinguished scientists such as the well-known Thoracic Surgeon Dr. N. Zama, who will speak about the US policy in the treatment of lung cancer for the next five years. Also, the professor from Australia and one of the founders of major oncology research companies N. Van Zandwijk, who will speak about the latest data in the treatment of mesothelioma, the professor of Pathology M. Papotti from Italy, who will speak about the new indicators that are now used to find the right treatment in the treatment of lung cancer.
Professor M. Gottfried from Israel, who will speak about new drugs in Oncology with particular emphasis on the new indication of the combination of immunotherapy and chemotherapy, Professors M. Neuberger, R. Pirker and C. Manegold from Austria and Germany, excellent Oncologists of various specialties specializing in lung cancer from other European countries and Greece as well as other highly respected scientists.
