Inter-Balkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki: The only clinic in Northern Greece to receive the certification of the International Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001:2015
Athens, October 18, 2018 – In the context of the comprehensive development of Quality Management Systems, the Athens Medical Group certified the Inter-Balkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki with the internationally recognized Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001:2015, adopting an operational and administrative model based on the following axes:
- Prevention of pollution, with management and recycling measures of 70% of the health unit’s municipal waste.
- Continuous improvement of environmental performance.
- Compliance with applicable legislation.
With the implementation and certification of the International Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001:2015, the Group achieves the optimization of natural resource management and further savings energy, while at the same time significantly reducing the possibility of environmental accidents, demonstrating the emphasis it places on respecting the environment.

The certification of the Inter-Balkan Medical of Thessaloniki is the first certification of environmental management of a clinic in Northern Greece.
The inspection was carried out by TÜV HELLAS – TÜV Nord, obtaining certificates approved by both the German Accreditation Body DAkks and the National Accreditation System (ESYD).
