ATHENS MEDICAL CENTER: RECEIVED ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION
Athens, February 02, 2016 – The General, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Clinics of the Athens Medical Center received certification for the implementation of the Internationally Recognized Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001, adopting an operational and administrative model based on the following axes:
- Prevention of pollution through management and recycling measures of 70% of the health unit’s municipal waste.
- Continuous improvement of environmental performance.
- Compliance with applicable legislation.
With the implementation and certification of the International Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001, the Athens Medical Center achieves the optimization of natural resource management and further energy savings, while significantly reducing the possibility of environmental accidents, demonstrating the emphasis it places on respecting the environment.

The inspection was carried out by the Inspection and Certification Organization TÜV HELLAS.
