Specialist Cardiologist

He is a specialist cardiologist, Doctor of Medicine of the University of Athens. He was born and raised in Athens.
He graduated from the Lyceum of Arsakeio Psychiko. He was admitted to the Medical School of the University of Athens, from where he graduated in 1992.
After completing his field service, he specialized in Pathology for one year and then went to England, to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
She completed her specialization in Cardiology at the Department of Medicine of the University of Athens, “Alexandra” Hospital in 2000.
She prepared her PhD thesis in 2002 on the topic “Experimental myocardial infarction – Reperfusion under various levels of arterial pressure” and was awarded the title of PhD with a grade of “Excellent”.
She has participated in clinical and experimental research protocols since 1997. She was awarded twice for her participation in experimental protocols (at the 21st Panhellenic Cardiology Congress and the 5th Heart Failure Congress).
She has published articles and chapters in leading international and Greek journals. There is a satisfactory number of biographical references for her writing.
She is a member of the Hellenic Cardiology Foundation, the Hellenic Hypertension Society, the Heart Failure Study and Research Society and the Society for Scientific Research Lead Physician Panel.
She has been participating in educational activities in major hospitals since 1998 and recently at the “Athens Medical Center”. She has also participated in conferences and as a speaker at round tables.
In 2007, she received a certificate from the European Board Accreditation in Cardiology and has since been a regular reviewer in the prestigious cardiology journal International Journal of Cardiology.
She practiced Clinical Cardiology for ten years in a large private Hospital as a Second Supervisor and subsequently as a First Supervisor. Since January 2013, she has been practicing Clinical Cardiology as Director at the “Athens Medical Center” Hospital.

In 2024 and 2025 he accepted an honorary invitation to run for the PERT CONSORTIUM BOARD OF DIRECTORS. (MASS GENERAL HOSPITAL AFFILIATED TO HARVARD).
In 2025 he led the successful effort to declare the Athens Medical Center as the first founding member of the PERT CONSORTIUM Organization in Greece. From now on he is the head of the Coordinating Committee for the collection & recording of data (Registry) of patients with Pulmonary Embolism.
Since 08/2025 he has been actively participating in the Education & Training Committee of the PERT CONSORTIUM Organization (as the only European participation).
