Athens Medical Group: Official Medical Supporter of EKO Rally Acropolis 2026 for the 6th consecutive year
The Athens Medical Group participated, for the sixth consecutive year, as the Official Medical Partner of the EKO Rally Acropolis 2026, the 8th round of the FIA World Rally Championship. The event took place from 25 to 28 June 2026, with the impressive EKO Super Special Stage at The Ellinikon Sports Park marking the official start of the race.
A special moment was the start given by the President of the Athens Medical Group, Dr. Vasilis G. Apostolopoulos, to one of the crews, in the super-special stage, which took place at The Ellinikon Sports Park. The choice of The Ellinikon Sports Park as the setting for the super-special stage highlighted the connection of the race with a new sports and wellness destination, which is expected to become a reference point for Athens and internationally. In this new environment, the Athens Medical Group will develop the Healthcare Park model, within the framework of the already announced exclusive strategic agreement with LAMDA Development.
The “Rally of the Gods”, one of the most important international sporting events hosted by our country, is a highly demanding event, where safety, preparedness and immediate medical response are of paramount importance. In this context, the Athens Medical Group provided comprehensive medical support, with 16 fully equipped ambulances, manned by 32 paramedics and 11 doctors. At the same time, the Group offered high-level health services through the state-of-the-art Mobile Medical Unit installed at the EKO Service Park, at the Engineering School in Loutraki, ensuring immediate support for any need that might arise during the races.
More specifically, the cooperation of the Athens Medical Group with the Organizing Committee of the EKO Acropolis Rally 2026 provided for full medical coverage of the event, emergency management, first aid provision and the possibility of immediate evacuation for all participants, throughout the race, in accordance with the international safety standards of the FIA.
The Group’s participation was also extended to the parallel venues of the event, with two exhibition stands at The Ellinikon Sports Park and at EKO Service Park in Loutraki. There, visitors had the opportunity to learn about the Group’s services and obtain 50% discount on the first online visit through the Virtual Outpatient Clinics service of TeleHospital, the new digital hospital of the Athens Medical Group.
Through its participation in the EKO Rally Acropolis 2026, the Athens Medical Group confirmed once again its strong connection with leading international events, as well as its commitment to actively contribute to shaping the future of healthcare in Greece, with modern, integrated and high-quality healthcare services.
