Athens Medical Group: Official Medical Supporter of Rally Acropolis 2021
Athens Medical Group is the “Official Medical Partner” of the EKO Acropolis Rally 2021, which once again forms part of the World Rally Championship (WRC).
After an 8-year absence, the “Rally of Gods” returns, writing a new chapter in its history, from 9 to 12 September 2021, with Athens Medical Group once again providing comprehensive medical support for one of the largest international events held in the country.
The cooperation between Athens Medical Group and the Organizing Committee for the EKO Acropolis Rally 2021 consists of the comprehensive provision of medical coverage, patient transfers and first aid services for any medical needs or incidents that may arise, for everyone (participating athletes, spectators, volunteers, etc.), throughout the duration of the race.
For these purposes, Athens Medical Group provides medical equipment, medical and nursing staff, as well as fully staffed ambulances, thereby meeting the international safety standards of the World Federation, in accordance with the instructions of the race Organizing Committee.
Athens Medical Group holds the most demanding international certifications of expertise and has extensive experience in providing medical coverage for leading international sporting, cultural, conference and other events held in our country – such as the Olympic Games, international film productions, the Delphi Economic Forum, the EU-Arab Summit, Economist conferences, among others, as well as, of course, previous editions of the Acropolis Rally.
On the occasion of Athens Medical Group assuming this critical role as the “Official Medical Partner” of the EKO Acropolis Rally 2021, the CEO of Athens Medical Group, Dr. Vassilis Apostolopoulos, stated, among other things: “The return of the Acropolis Rally to the WRC (World Rally Championship) calendar after 8 years was a national effort in which Athens Medical Group, the only Greek healthcare group in our country, could not but actively participate. It is an honor for us, for motorsport enthusiasts, as well as for all our fellow citizens, to be an integral part of this global event, which marks our country’s strong return to the international stage after a prolonged period of crisis and aims to promote Greece internationally.”
