The Athens Medical Group, always one step ahead of developments in medical technology, announces the world’s first installation of the new generation Luminos Q.namix T radioscopic system, as well as the first installation in Southern Europe of the Q.namix R radioscopic system by Siemens Healthineers at the Athens Medical Center.

These are innovative, multifunctional imaging platforms that combine radiography and fluoroscopy (2D imaging in real time), covering the entire spectrum of radiological and fluoroscopy examinations with high-resolution imaging for more accurate diagnosis. Their addition further enhances the ultra-modern and latest-generation equipment of the Imaging Department of the Athens Medical Center, making it one of the most comprehensive and advanced imaging centers in Europe.

These systems allow for the performance of even the most specialized examinations that require the operator to be next to the patient, such as in pediatrics, bariatrics and gastroenterology. Thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), they adapt to the needs of each examination, reduce the radiation dose and offer high-definition images in real time, ensuring maximum accuracy and safety.

The Luminos Q.namix R, with remote control, allows operation both from the control room and next to the patient. It is suitable for a wide range of fluoroscopic and radiographic applications, such as upper and lower gastrointestinal examinations, swallowing studies, general chest, bone and joint radiographs, as well as special orthopedic imaging (full spine).

The Luminos Q.namix T, with tableside control, is aimed at non-mobile patients and examinations that require close interaction, such as in pediatrics, bariatrics and gastroenterology. Its ergonomics, combined with artificial intelligence (AI) systems, facilitate complex examinations, reducing waiting time.

The installation of the Luminos Q.namix T and R systems marks a world first that places the Athens Medical Center at the forefront of medical imaging internationally. With continuous investments in latest-generation technology, the Athens Medical Group confirms its role as a reference point for innovation in health, substantially upgrading diagnostic capabilities with a view to the best outcome for the patient.

The General Manager of the Athens Medical Group, Mr. Georgios Zerdilas, stated: “The world’s first installation of the Luminos Q.namix T and R systems at the Athens Medical Center is a practical demonstration of our commitment to investing in the most innovative technologies. With safety, comfort and excellent care in mind, the Athens Medical Group continues to pioneer in medical technology, being the first to bring cutting-edge equipment to Greece and internationally.
